Debbie was raised near Seattle. In 1998 she moved to NH and soon, began working at the front office of a busy and growing animal hospital. Debbie came to the veterinary business to work around animals, and found she particularly enjoyed customer service. She values her relationships with clients and educating them on pet health.
Canine behavior is a passion that developed after enrolling her young American Bulldog, Ben, into private obedience lessons. She saw how clear communication with her dog led to a much deeper bond and a happier pet! Debbie began volunteering at a canine training and behavior rehabilitation center in Maine. She loved it so much that she took 3 months off of work to apprentice at the training center. She continued training Ben, and the pair have competed and placed in weight pull, personal protection and obedience trials.
Debbie is also interested in human health and well-being, and is a certified Pilates and Yoga instructor. She currently instructs at New Hampshire Power Yoga in Merrimack. When not working, she enjoys spending time with family and friends or just being outdoors. Debbie enjoys hiking, biking, cross country skiing, and of course yoga.
Originally from Massachusetts, Marissa moved to New Hampshire after graduating from UNH. She has always had a special place in her heart for animals and knew from a young age that she wanted to work with them.
She started by attending Essex Agricultural and Technical High School where she majored in Veterinary Technology and Research Animal Management. While in that program, she started working as a veterinary technician and receptionist in a veterinary hospital and continued this work for 6 years while attending college.
Marissa enjoys being able to bring smiles to the faces of our clients while also getting to be involved on the medical side at times.
Marissa enjoys time with her family and she currently owns 6 cats: Lily, Iris, TC (top cat), Bella, Sonya, and Scotty. She loves the outdoors and enjoys hiking, rock climbing, swimming and other adventures. In her down time she also loves playing video games and watching anime.
From a young age, Shanna has loved animals and was influenced by an aunt who was a veterinary technician for over 30 years. As a child, Shanna would spend her summers in NH helping her aunt around the clinic and caring for the animals. It was obvious she would have a career in the veterinary field one day.
Shanna has worked as a veterinary technician for over 10 years. She is passionate about patient care and making the animal’s experience the best it can be and she takes the time to ensure the clients are well educated on any topic. She has a special passion for dentistry because of the immediate satisfaction in seeing the improved happiness of the pet after the procedure.
Shanna absolutely loves her Pit Bull Mix Tootz. She was a stray brought to a hospital where Shanna was working and she had to have multiple surgeries to remove a foreign object from her intestines. It was love at first sight! Shanna brought Tootz home and nursed her back to health…. and there she stayed!
In her time off, Shanna enjoys spending time with her large family. Her weekends are spent in Maine at the family camp or doing anything outside. Fishing, boating, hiking with Tootz and being a beach bum are some of her favorite activities.
Victoria was raised in Massachusetts where she still lives with her family. She received her B.S. in Biology/Pre-vet and has future plans of applying to veterinary school. She began in this field as an assistant where she began to learn technician skills.
Patient care is a priority for Victoria and everything she does in her work is towards that goal. She enjoys assisting the doctors in exam rooms, running lab tests and helping with dental and surgical procedures. She particularly enjoys the hands on work with the pets and takes every opportunity to assist clients in understanding how to provide the best care for their furry friends.
Her areas of interest are ultrasonography, cardiology, and dentistry. She enjoys dentistry because she sees the positive effects in pets after having their dental disease treated. It is clear how much happier they are afterwards.
She is close with her parents and her brother and is proud of their achievements. Her father is a retired marine and she refers to her brother, a current member of the U.S. Navy, as “her hero”. Victoria and her family share their home with 2 cats, Lucy and Marcy, named after The Peanuts characters.
When not at work, Victoria enjoys reading, knitting, shooting at the firing range, cooking, yoga, Zentangle, time with her boyfriend, painting, listening to music, and of course studying up on current advances in veterinary medicine!
